At ABB we help industries outrun - leaner and cleaner Here progress is an expectation - for you your team and the world As a global market leader we ll give you what you need to make it happen It won t always be easy growing takes grit But at ABB you ll never run alone Run what runs the world This Position reports to Finance Manager Your Role and Responsibilities In this role you will lead continuous improvements in the Trade and Transportation function and manage key performance indicators to enhance operational performance You will oversee local trade and transportation operations coordinating with internal teams and external providers Additionally you will manage import export administrative activities and ensure compliance with ABB policies and external regulations in collaboration with local and country Trade Compliance Officers Work model for the role LI-Onsite This role contributes to the Motion business in India located in Bangalore Karnataka Main stakeholders include legal procurement and logistics teams with whom close collaboration is essential to embed compliance best practices and enhance operational efficiency You will be mainly accountable for Designing and implementing strategies to optimize trade and transportation operations focusing on cost efficiency and compliance Overseeing end-to-end logistics processes including transportation freight forwarding customs clearance and warehousing Evaluating and managing logistics service providers negotiating contracts and establishing performance metrics Leading the implementation of improved processes systems and master data management Qualifications for the Role Bachelor s or Master s degree in International Trade Supply Chain Economics or a related field 7-10 years of experience in Trade Operation Compliance with strong knowledge of local regulations Proven experience in regulatory compliance risk assessment and internal audits Skilled in developing and implementing trade compliance policies and procedures improving processing times and adherence to evolving regulations Familiarity with the US Export Administration Regulations and global sanctions frameworks Hands-on experience with Global Trade Management systems e g SAP-GTS is an advantage Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly explain complex trade compliance concepts Ability to independently draft responses to government notices and inquiries More About Us ABB Drive Products is a global technology leader serving industries infrastructure and machine builders with world-class drives and soft starters With our products global scale and local presence we help customers improve energy efficiency productivity and safety Our people and culture are the foundation of our success we make a difference for our customers every day We value people from different backgrounds Could this be your story Apply today or visit www abb com to read more about us and learn about the impact of our solutions across the globe Fraud Warning Any genuine offer from ABB will always be preceded by a formal application and interview process We never ask for money from job applicants For current open positions you can visit our career website and apply Please refer to detailed recruitment fraud caution notice using the link
