Position Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Engineer to join our expanding Civil & Structural Design Team at Cleantech Industry Resources, Ahmedabad. You will be part of a dynamic project team responsible for developing and delivering high-quality structural designs for foundations, support structures, and other critical components in solar and renewable energy projects, including new builds, retrofits, and system redevelopments. This role requires close coordination with project managers and multidisciplinary teams throughout the design and construction phases to ensure structural integrity, constructability, and compliance with project specifications. Core Responsibilities Lead structural design efforts from conceptual development through detailed design and construction. Review and modify production drawings for solar and renewable energy projects. Design structural components based on project needs, budget constraints, and client requirements. Apply advanced knowledge of structural engineering principles, codes, and industry standards. Conduct research and compile project-related data to support design and execution. Prepare documentation for client presentations, shop drawing reviews, and contract administration. Design and oversee foundation systems for solar panels and associated infrastructure. Implement quality assurance and safety protocols to meet industry standards. Manage project costs through estimates, tracking, and identifying cost-saving opportunities. Maintain detailed records of engineering calculations, construction progress, and as-built documentation. Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and standards. Ensure all designs adhere to relevant codes, standards, and regulations, including ASCE, IBC, ACI, AISC, and local building codes. Education Requirements Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering; a master’s degree in Structural Engineering is preferred and may substitute for one year of professional experience. Technical Skills and Experience Software Proficiency: Proficiency in industry-standard structural design and analysis software, including: RISA 3D, RISA Foundation, LPILE, RAM, STAAD.Pro, RC Mat AutoCAD, Navisworks, Tekla, and SmartPlant 3D Experience 4–6 years of progressive structural engineering experience, including proven experience on U.S.-based solar, substation, or other renewable energy projects. Demonstrated expertise in structural design and analysis for power generation and renewable energy infrastructure. Strong understanding of engineering principles, construction practices, and applicable design codes and standards (ASCE, ACI, AISC, IBC, etc.). Psychosocial Skills /Human Skills/Behavioural Skills Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Project Management experience a plus. Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to take ideas and run with them from concept to conclusion. Technical understanding of clean energy business processes. Exceptional verbal and writing communication skills with superiors, peers, partners, and other stakeholders. Excellent interpersonal skills while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
