We're looking for an energetic and passionate digital marketer with a strong background in music marketing, social media strategy, and music distribution. The ideal candidate lives and breathes music, understands how to build and engage fanbases, and has hands-on experience with platforms like DistroKid, TuneCore, and AWAL. Music Marketing & Campaign Strategy: Develop and execute integrated digital marketing campaigns for music releases, albums, tours, merchandise drops, and brand partnerships. Work closely with artists, managers, and labels to understand the brand identity and target audience of each artist. Plan promotional timelines for pre-release, launch, and post-release stages. Develop marketing assets such as digital banners, teaser videos, release trailers, and interactive content. 2. Social Media Strategy and Execution: Create and implement customized social media strategies for artists and music brands. Manage day-to-day posting on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter/X, and emerging platforms. Drive fan engagement through stories, reels, shorts, live streams, contests, and trend-based content. Coordinate with content creators, designers, and video editors to produce high-quality social media assets. Track analytics and optimize content based on engagement metrics, audience behavior, and platform algorithms. 3. Music Distribution & Platform Management: Oversee the digital distribution process via platforms such as DistroKid, TuneCore, CD Baby, Ditto, AWAL, or directly with DSPs (Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, etc.). Ensure accurate metadata entry, artwork specifications, and release scheduling. Work with distribution partners to pitch tracks for editorial playlist placements and sync opportunities. Monitor release performance and provide post-release analysis with insights and recommendations. 4. Influencer & Community Engagement: Identify and collaborate with social media influencers, playlist curators, and content creators to amplify music releases. Build relationships with fan communities, forums, and niche audiences. Engage with comments, direct messages, and fan content to cultivate loyal online fanbases for artists. 5. Content Calendar & Planning: Develop and maintain a detailed content calendar aligned with music release dates, tours, festivals, and trending moments. Coordinate across departments (creative, production, PR, etc.) to ensure timely content delivery. 6. Data, Analytics & Reporting: Monitor performance metrics on all platforms: engagement rates, follower growth, stream counts, reach, impressions, click-through rates, etc. Use tools like Meta Business Suite, TikTok Analytics, YouTube Studio, and Spotify for Artists to compile reports. Adjust strategies based on performance insights and campaign objectives. 7. Paid Advertising & Promotion: Plan and execute targeted ad campaigns on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, and Google Ads. Manage campaign budgets, A/B test creatives, and optimize ads for conversions, engagement, or streaming.Key Skills & Competencies: In-depth knowledge of the music industry, including independent and label-based distribution models. Proven ability to run successful social media and digital campaigns for music artists or projects. Strong understanding of digital distribution platforms and DSPs (Spotify, Apple Music, etc.). Excellent copywriting skills with the ability to write for different tones, from formal press releases to casual captions. Strong eye for aesthetics and branding, especially in visuals and video content. Familiarity with music promotion tools like Linktree, Hypeddit, ToneDen, or Feature.fm. Experience with influencer outreach and playlist pitching is a major plus.
