Role Overview As an Elixir / Phoenix Developer, you’ll help architect, build, and scale Nexvista’s real-time AI platform. You’ll work with Elixir, Phoenix LiveView, and the Ash Framework to design reliable OTP processes and deliver production-grade code across backend and interactive UIs. We also welcome skilled backend or cross-platform developers (including Flutter) who are eager to transition into the Elixir ecosystem. You’ll receive structured onboarding and mentorship to ensure a smooth and rewarding learning experience. Core Responsibilities - Develop, optimize, and maintain Phoenix applications (Controllers, LiveView, Channels) and OTP components (GenServers, Supervisors, background workers). - Model data and domain logic using the Ash Framework with PostgreSQL. - Implement real-time APIs and event-driven features (WebSockets, PubSub, Presence) using Redis / RabbitMQ / Kafka. - Ensure reliability through automated testing (ExUnit), CI/CD pipelines, and peer-reviewed code. - Monitor production systems using telemetry, metrics, and logging; troubleshoot issues in real time. - Participate in Docker/AWS deployments and mentor junior developers. Skills & Qualifications Required - 3+ years of professional backend or cross-platform development experience. - Strong RDBMS skills (PostgreSQL/MySQL): schema design, migrations, optimization. - Experience building real-time or event-driven systems (WebSockets, PubSub, Presence). - Strong commitment to testing, CI/CD, and code quality. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills. - Based in Hyderabad (hybrid work model) with a proactive ownership mindset. Preferred - Hands-on experience in Elixir, Phoenix, LiveView / HEEx, and OTP. - Familiarity with the Ash Framework or domain-driven design concepts. - Exposure to Docker, AWS (ECS/EKS/EC2), and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana). - Familiarity with Redis, RabbitMQ, or Kafka. - Background in Flutter, Go, Python, or Ruby for cross-stack versatility. - Experience with AI-assisted development workflows or mentoring engineers. - Contributions to the Elixir community or open-source projects.
