Job Category Manufacturing Production Processing Assembly About Business Adani Group Adani Group is a diversified organisation in India comprising 10 publicly traded companies It has created a world class logistics and utility infrastructure portfolio that has a pan-India presence Adani Group is headquartered in Ahmedabad in the state of Gujarat India Over the years Adani Group has positioned itself to be the market leader in its logistics and energy businesses focusing on large scale infrastructure development in India with O M practices benchmarked to global standards With four IG rated businesses it is the only Infrastructure Investment Grade issuer in India Wind Turbine Generator WTG Adani Wind Turbine Generators WTG is a leading player in the renewable energy sector specializing in the design manufacturing and installation of high-performance wind turbine systems With a commitment to sustainability Adani WTGs deliver efficient and reliable energy solutions contributing to clean power generation across global markets Job Purpose The Pre Fab Engineer is responsible for managing the pre-fabrication of wind turbine blade components ensuring precise material cutting assembly and mold preparation This role includes overseeing composite material handling process monitoring and quality assurance The Pre Fab Engineer also implements process improvements maintains equipment and ensures compliance with safety protocols to enhance production efficiency and quality Responsibilities Pre-Fabrication Process Management Oversee the pre-fabrication of wind turbine blade components including the accurate cutting and assembly of composite materials such as glass fiber and carbon fiber prepregs Implement advanced techniques like automated tape laying ATL and automated fiber placement AFP to ensure precise material placement and optimal blade structure Mold Preparation and Setup Supervise the preparation and setup of molds for pre-fabrication including ensuring proper mold release agent application and alignment of mold segments Verify mold conditions and specifications to prevent defects during the blade manufacturing process Composite Material Handling Manage the handling and storage of composite materials ensuring proper environmental controls such as temperature and humidity to maintain material integrity Monitor material usage and waste implementing strategies to minimize excess and reduce costs Process Monitoring and Adjustment Monitor pre-fabrication processes including resin impregnation and curing to ensure compliance with production specifications and standards Adjust process parameters as needed to address any deviations and maintain high-quality output Quality Assurance Conduct inspections of pre-fabricated components to ensure they meet design specifications and quality standards using techniques such as visual inspections and dimensional checks Implement corrective actions for any identified issues collaborating with other teams to resolve production challenges Equipment Operation and Maintenance Operate and maintain pre-fabrication equipment including automated layup machines and curing systems ensuring optimal performance and reliability Perform routine maintenance calibration and troubleshooting to prevent equipment malfunctions and production delays Safety and Compliance Adhere to safety protocols specific to pre-fabrication processes including proper handling of composite materials and safe operation of machinery Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment through regular safety audits and training Process Improvement Initiatives Identify and implement improvements in pre-fabrication processes to enhance efficiency reduce material waste and improve blade quality Evaluate and integrate new technologies and methods to advance pre-fabrication capabilities and production performance Documentation and Reporting Maintain detailed records of pre-fabrication activities including material usage process parameters and quality inspection results Prepare and submit reports on pre-fabrication performance highlighting any issues encountered and actions taken Key Stakeholders - Internal Engineer - Production Main Mould Engineer Post Mould Engineer Head - Production Key Stakeholders - External Material Suppliers Equipment Manufacturers Quality Auditors Qualifications Educational Background B Tech BE in Mechanical Engineering Material Science or related field Work Experience 5 years of experience in pre-fabrication or composite material processing with exposure to automated layup techniques Industry Knowledge Understanding of pre-fabrication processes material handling and quality assurance in wind turbine manufacturing
