This role requires one to be a self-starter with good business modeling skills, keen attention to detail and good track record of collaborating with diverse stakeholders. This role has regular interaction with senior leadership and stakeholders across Amazon and requires good verbal and written communication skills. The candidate will need to be capable of operating with a high degree of autonomy and hence needs to demonstrate a high degree of comfort with ambiguity besides holding a high bar on performance. The candidate will need to have a proven track record for hiring, developing and retaining the best talent. Key job responsibilities • Delivering complex, large-scale programs and projects from initiation through delivery by leading cross-functional, geographically diverse project teams. • Understanding the business requirements and then ensuring these can be implemented from a people, process, policy and technology perspective by working with Amazon’s technical teams to effectively design, develop, test and launch scalable solutions that address customer needs while meeting our high controllership standards. • Ensuring consistent and efficient execution of projects, adhering to Amazon’s governance and project methodology frameworks, to deliver optimal, high-quality, scalable solutions. This includes effective communication of project progression to stakeholders across all levels of the organization. • Identifying and mitigating potential risks and obstacles by collaborating closely with business partners, key PMO (Project Management Office) Excellence stakeholders and team members. Ensuring Plan B’s are always in place. • Continually strengthening Finance Operations effectiveness with a relentless focus on identifying and delivering continuous improvement opportunities. - 5+ years of program or project management experience - 3+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience - 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience - Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements - Knowledge of project management tools and methodologies (agile to waterfall) - Experience in Excel (including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, power pivots, etc.) and data visualization tools such as Tableau- Six Sigma Master Black Belt - Six Sigma Black Belt certification Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
