Role Description
We are seeking an experienced NVOCC Division Manager to build and lead our new non-vessel operating common carrier (NVOCC) division encompassing the Intra Asia region. This role will be responsible for ensuring FMC compliance, establishing carrier and vendor partnerships, developing operational processes, and driving customer growth. You will act as the primary architect of our NVOCC business unit setting up systems, operations, procedures, and teams to support profitable and compliant international freight operations.
Qualifications
- Minimum 57 years of experience in international freight forwarding or NVOCC management.
- Strong knowledge of FMC regulations, HBL issuance, and liability frameworks.
- Established relationships with VOCCs, trucking, and customs brokerage partners.
- Experience negotiating service contracts and freight rates.
- Proven track record in setting up or scaling an NVOCC or forwarding division.
- Familiarity with freight management software, EDI/API integrations, and logistics platforms.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
- Existing client portfolio or ability to bring shipper relationships.
- Knowledge of cargo liability insurance and E&O coverage.
- Experience with LCL consolidation programs.
- Background in both operations and sales/business development.
