Job Title : Senior PHP Developer Experience : 5+ Years Work Mode : Hybrid Work Location : Chennai Notice Period : Immediate to 15 Days Job Summary: We are looking for a Senior PHP Developer who is highly self-motivated, proactive, and passionate about clean, scalable code. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in backend development, especially with PHP (preferably Laravel or similar frameworks), and be confident in mentoring junior developers. A deep understanding of database architecture and optimization is essential for this role. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable PHP applications. - Lead and guide junior developers through code reviews, best practices, and mentorship. - Optimize and troubleshoot database queries (MySQL/PostgreSQL), structures, and performance bottlenecks. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features. - Ensure high performance and responsiveness of backend systems. - Write clean, secure, and well-documented code following industry best practices. - Participate in system architecture planning and decision-making. - Take ownership of projects from concept to deployment. Requirements: - 5+ years of professional PHP development experience. - Strong knowledge of PHP frameworks (Laravel, Symfony, etc.). - Proven experience in database optimization, query tuning, and schema design. - Strong understanding of MVC architecture and RESTful APIs. - Experience mentoring or leading junior developers. - Familiarity with Git, CI/CD workflows, and agile development. - Self-driven with excellent problem-solving and time-management skills. - Good communication skills – able to explain technical issues clearly. Nice to Have: - Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, etc.). - Exposure to Docker and containerized environments. - Frontend experience (Vue.js, React) is a plus.
