The ideal candidate will have a strong background in backend development, especially with PHP (preferably Laravel or similar frameworks), and be confident in mentoring junior developers. A deep understanding of database architecture and optimization is essential for this role.Key Responsibilities:- Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable PHP applications.- Lead and guide junior developers through code reviews, best practices, and mentorship.- Optimize and troubleshoot database queries (MySQL/PostgreSQL), structures, and performance bottlenecks.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.- Ensure high performance and responsiveness of backend systems.- Write clean, secure, and well-documented code following industry best practices.- Participate in system architecture planning and decision-making.- Take ownership of projects from concept to deployment.Requirements:- 5+ years of professional PHP development experience.- Strong knowledge of PHP frameworks (Laravel, Symfony, etc.).- Proven experience in database optimization, query tuning, and schema design.- Strong understanding of MVC architecture and RESTful APIs.- Experience mentoring or leading junior developers.- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD workflows, and agile development.- Self-driven with excellent problem-solving and time-management skills.- Good communication skills – able to explain technical issues clearly.Nice to Have:- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, etc.).- Exposure to Docker and containerized environments.- Frontend experience (Vue.js, React) is a plus.
