Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

1. Clinical Quality Monitoring

- Conduct routine quality rounds in wards, ICUs, OTs, and other patient care areas.
- Monitor nursing compliance with:
- SOPs, care bundles, and protocols
- Medication administration safety
- Hand hygiene and infection control practices
- Documentation standards (nursing notes, vital signs, patient ID, etc.)

2. Accreditation & Compliance

- Assist in preparation and implementation of accreditation standards (NABH, JCI, ISO).
- Participate in internal audits and support gap analysis and corrective actions.
- Maintain records for quality indicators, nursing metrics, and compliance checklists.

3. Training & Capacity Building

- Conduct orientation and continuous training programs on:
- Quality improvement practices
- Patient safety, fall prevention, pressure injury prevention
- Incident reporting and root cause analysis (RCA)
- Educate nursing staff on updated policies and procedures.

4. Incident Reporting & RCA

- Assist in reporting, documenting, and investigating nursing-related incidents, near misses, and sentinel events.
- Participate in root cause analysis and support implementation of preventive actions.

5. Data Management & Reporting

- Collect and maintain data for quality indicators such as:
- Nursing documentation audits
- Hospital-acquired infection rates
- Medication errors, falls, patient satisfaction, etc.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly reports for the Quality Committee/Nursing Leadership.

6. Patient Safety & Feedback

- Collaborate in patient safety programs, monitor patient complaints related to nursing care.
- Conduct patient satisfaction surveys and support service improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience:

- Required Qualification:
- B.Sc. Nursing / GNM (mandatory)
- Certification or diploma in quality management, NABH/JCI training preferred
- Experience:
- Minimum 24 years of clinical nursing experience
- At least 1 year in quality-related roles (preferred)
