Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Sr. Executive / Executive (Purchase) to join our procurement team. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, with a strong understanding of market dynamics in India. This role involves managing the procurement process, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring the timely delivery of goods and services to meet the company's operational needs.

Responsibilities

- Manage the procurement process from requisition to delivery.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms.
- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and assess their capabilities.
- Maintain relationships with existing suppliers and evaluate their performance.
- Prepare purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Monitor inventory levels and forecast purchasing needs based on sales trends.
- Collaborate with internal teams to understand purchasing requirements and specifications.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements in procurement.

Skills and Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in procurement or purchasing roles, preferably in India.
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to build relationships with suppliers.
- Proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Knowledge of inventory management and supply chain processes.
- Excellent analytical skills to assess supplier performance and market trends.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
