Lab Assistant

Key Responsibilities Laboratory Setup Maintenance Prepare laboratories for practical sessions as per the syllabus and faculty instructions Install calibrate and maintain lab equipment machines and tools Ensure proper functioning of instruments e g lathe milling machine universal testing machine IC engines hydraulics setups etc Assisting in Lab Sessions Support faculty in conducting laboratory classes and experiments Guide students in handling equipment measuring instruments and safety procedures Assist in conducting demonstrations projects and workshops Safety Compliance Ensure that all safety protocols and guidelines are followed in the laboratory Maintain records of lab safety checks and report any malfunctions or hazards Keep first aid and fire safety equipment updated and accessible Inventory Record Management Maintain stock registers for consumables tools and spare parts Raise requests for procurement of new equipment and consumables Keep logs of machine usage maintenance and calibration Repairs Troubleshooting Carry out minor repairs of machines tools and equipment Coordinate with external vendors for major repairs and servicing Academic Support Assist faculty and students in final year mini-project works requiring lab facilities Support research and development activities when required Qualifications Skills Diploma ITI in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline Hands-on experience with workshop machines mechanical tools and laboratory setups Knowledge of safety procedures and laboratory practices Basic computer knowledge for maintaining records and reports Strong practical skills attention to detail and teamwork ability Job Types Full-time Permanent Fresher Pay 10 000 00 - 15 000 00 per month Benefits Health insurance Provident Fund Work Location In person
