Job Description Minimum qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience. - 2 years of experience in program management. Preferred qualifications: - 5 years of experience in the delivery of telecommunications fiber, space/power, capacity infrastructure. - Experience in managing the delivery/build/implementation of long-haul dark fiber and metro fiber plants. - Experience in working with telecom vendors throughout the Asia-Pacific region with managing projects and working on carrier relations/vendor management. - Knowledge of network infrastructure and Layer 1-3 network services and technologies including dark fiber, Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM), Ethernet, and Internet Protocols (IP). As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you'll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You'll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers. Responsibilities - Manage the lifecycle of Dark Fiber (DF) and Leased Waves (LW) from order to acceptance. - Work with external vendors and internal teams to ensure smooth delivery. - Review metrics pertaining to a program, monitor metric deviations, and define corrective actions for critical deviations. - Manage the delivery lifecycle. Work with Dark Fiber (DF), Leased Waves (LW), Metro Optical Fiber Networks (MOFN). - Work with Bulk Fiber, IP Outside-of-Band (IPOOB), Cross Connections (XC), Disconnections.
