Responsibilities
1. Market research and Competitive Intelligence: Conducting research and analyzing market conditions, industry trends, customer preferences within the mining and transportation industry.
2. Commodity analysis: Monitoring and analyzing commodity prices, supply and demand dynamics, and market trends. This includes tracking global commodity markets, identifying factors that impact prices, and providing recommendations.
3. Risk assessment: Assessing the potential risks and challenges associated with commodity markets, such as geopolitical factors, regulatory changes, and environmental impacts.
4. Market intelligence: Keeping abreast of industry news, market developments, and regulatory changes that may impact commodity markets. Providing timely updates and analysis to stakeholders.
5. Report generation and presentation: Summarizing and presenting research findings, commodity trends, and recommendations in clear and concise reports.
6. Quarterly financial research: Conducting detailed research and analysis on quarterly financial statements, including revenue, expenses, profitability, and cash flow. Identifying key financial drivers and providing insights and recommendations.
7. Organizing and maintaining excel databases of market research data, commodity prices, and financial information.
8. Independent handling of the client and managing communication on regular basis
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications
. Must have the skills necessary to effectively and efficiently search and analyze secondary sources, such as, Business databases, Government agency records, Sector reports and updates, Other industry/government sources, Company Websites, Financials reports, Economic studies and reports
Preferred qualifications
. Strong analytical skills, Proficiency in Excel, MS Power point
. Experience in consulting, market research and/or competitive intelligence, or strategic marketing, with excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills
. Excellent Interpersonal skills and Analytical reasoning ability.
