Job Description Job Description As an Assistant Store Manager, you will support the Store Manager in achieving sales targets, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction, and ensuring the store runs smoothly and efficiently. Responsibilities - Assist the Store Manager in all areas of daily store operations, customer service and merchandising. - Drive sales to meet or exceed store sales targets. - Coordinating, monitoring and reporting on daily operations. - Monitor and assist with inventory management, including ordering and receiving new stock and conducting stock checks. Keeping track of fast and slow selling products and report the same to warehouse. - Train, coach, and motivate style associates to meet sales targets and provide excellent customer service. - Managing employee schedules, conducting performance reviews, identifying hiring/training needs and enforcing disciplinary actions. - Responsible for entire store operations like VM, stock management, shrinkage prevention etc. - Manage administrative tasks such as scheduling, managing store expenses, maintaining monthly reports, checklists and preparing reports. - Conduct regular audits to ensure the store is functionable and presentable. - Handle complaints from customers. - Ensuring that store policies and procedures are followed, and all employees adhere to the company's policies and guidelines. Candidate Profile - PUC/Intermediate/Diploma with 4+ years retail fashion industry Or Graduate with 1+ years retail fashion industry. - Working knowledge of Microsoft Office - Strong understanding of sales and customer service techniques - Open to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends Skills Communication skills Local Language Proficiency: Fluent in the local language for effective communication with customers and handling local situations. English Skills: Fluent in oral and written English for professional communication, that includes drafting emails and addressing inquiries. Clear and articulate verbal communication to convey information to staff and address customer inquiries. Customer Engagement Excellent interpersonal skills to engage with customers positively. Able to address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to ensure a positive shopping experience. Non-Verbal Communication Eye Contact: Maintains strong eye contact, conveying messages confidently and attentively. Facial Expressions: Expresses emotions and empathy through facial expressions. Posture and Gestures:Displays open body language. Uses positive gestures that complement verbal communication effectively. Respects personal space preferences. Personal Presentation Has a keen sense of style and fashion. Maintains excellent personal hygiene. Hair is well-styled. Wears accessories that complement a professional image. No body odor, and uses light-scented products. Retail Expertise Proficient understanding of store operations, including inventory management, stock replenishment, and merchandising. Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and other retail technology. Efficient management and optimization of store layout and visual merchandising. Able to effectively manage employee schedules. Able to ensure adherence to store policies and procedures. Team Management Effective communication with team members to ensure understanding of tasks and expectations. Providing constructive feedback and recognition to enhance team performance.
