Senior Cloud Network Engineer you are responsible for the design deployment and operations of network devices WAN LAN including all the connected The focus of this position is to design and deploy infrastructure solutions that provide the underpinning for client and server connectivity within the Microsoft network This job includes interaction with multiple teams including product teams infrastructure and security teams and service project management teams Engineers are expected to adapt in a dynamic environment work with tight timelines for project deployments and work and beyond Responsibilities The design installation and maintenance of Global network Infrastructure Expertise in WAN and LAN technologies across various OEMs is mandatory Apply principles theories and concepts of the TCP IP protocol suite LAN WAN technologies switching routing structured cabling and related solutioning troubleshooting Deploy devices and network solutions at scale Troubleshoot hardware and connectivity failures methodologically and effectively Able to provide solutions that are thorough and practicable Aid level 1 staff as a first point of escalation during problem resolution Qualifications Required Qualifications 7 years technical experience in network design development and automation OR Bachelor s Degree in Electrical Engineering Optical Engineering Computer Science Engineering Information Technology or related field AND 4 years technical experience in network design development and automation OR Master s Degree in Electrical Engineering Optical Engineering Computer Science Information Technology or related field AND 3 years technical experience in network design development and automation OR Doctorate Degree in Electrical Engineering Optical Engineering Computer Science Information Technology or related field Strong fundamentals and hands on experience in Switching and Routing Troubleshooting the routing protocols like BGP EIGRP Static and OSPF and work with internal teams to resolve issues Experience with Python and Ansible preferred Experience using DevOps tools such as Ansible and Git Other Requirements Ability to meet Microsoft customer and or government security screening requirements are required for this role These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings Microsoft Cloud Background Check This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire transfer and every two years thereafter Preferred Qualifications 11 years technical experience in
