Your Role at Idam As a member of Idam's senior leadership, you will be responsible for driving strategic partnerships, expanding markets, and nurturing a high-performing BD team. You will: - Strategize & Scale: Define and implement a business development strategy aligned with the company vision and market trends. - Own the Pipeline: Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of domestic and international opportunities across energy, climate, and infrastructure sectors. - Engage & Influence: Represent Idam in high-stakes conversations with government officials, industry leaders, and multilateral agencies. - Lead & Inspire: Mentor a growing team of BD professionals and consultants across regions. - Strengthen Systems: Oversee tendering, proposal development, and BD systems to ensure high-quality submissions and seamless execution. - Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with practice heads and domain experts to ensure a cohesive and impactful go-to-market approach. - Track Market Trends: Stay ahead of emerging trends in energy transition, decarbonization, climate finance, and green technologies. What You Bring - Proven leadership in Business Development within energy, infrastructure, or sustainability domains. - Strong network across government bodies, PSUs, the private sector, donors, and multilateral institutions. - Hands-on experience in project acquisition, proposal management, and institutional partnerships. - Ability to manage P&L responsibilities, team dynamics, and stakeholder relationships. - Strategic thinker with deep commercial acumen, exceptional communication skills, and entrepreneurial spirit. - Exposure to or experience in international markets—particularly in Asia/South Asia and/or Africa—would be an added advantage. - Demonstrated capabilities in harnessing opportunities with the private sector in domain areas of Energy transition, distributed renewable, sustainability, and decarbonisation initiatives would be preferred Qualifications - Education: BE/B.Tech/B.Sc.+ MBA/MMS/PGDM in Marketing/Strategy/Business Leadership - Experience: Minimum 15 years in BD, with at least 5 years in a senior/leadership capacity in consulting or the energy domain
