We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior IT Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing advanced technical support, troubleshooting complex issues, and ensuring the stability and efficiency of our organization's IT infrastructure. This position is remote, allowing the successful candidate to work from any location. Responsibilities: 1. Remote Technical Support: - Provide expert-level remote technical support to end-users, addressing hardware and software issues promptly. - Collaborate with other IT professionals to resolve escalated technical problems efficiently. 1. Infrastructure Management: - Manage and maintain the organization's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and systems. - Monitor system performance, identify potential issues, and implement proactive solutions. 1. Cloud Technologies: - Demonstrate expertise in cloud technologies, including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform. - Implement and manage cloud-based solutions, ensuring scalability and reliability. 1. Hosting Server and Linux (Ubuntu) Expertise: - Configure, deploy, and manage hosting servers, with a focus on Linux-based Ubuntu environments. - Set up and maintain LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP/Python/Perl) stacks for optimal web application performance. 1. Microsoft Office 365 and Google Workspace: - Administer and support Microsoft Office 365 and Google Workspace applications. - Configure and troubleshoot email, collaboration tools, and cloud-based productivity suites. 1. VoIP Technologies: - Experience with Asterisk and Elastix VoIP systems. - Implement and maintain VoIP technologies, ensuring reliable communication services. 1. Windows Servers and VM: - Manage and configure Windows Server environments locally and in Azure. - Experience with virtualization technologies, including VMWare and Hyper-V. 1. Cyber Security: - Implement and maintain cybersecurity measures to protect the organization's data and systems. - Stay current with cybersecurity trends and best practices. 1. Troubleshooting: - Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity. - Conduct root cause analysis for recurring problems and implement permanent solutions. 1. Security and Compliance: - Implement and maintain security measures to protect the organization's data and systems. - Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices. 1. Collaboration: - Work closely with cross-functional teams to implement IT projects and initiatives. - Collaborate with colleagues to provide technical guidance and mentorship. 1. Documentation: - Create and update technical documentation, including system configurations, troubleshooting procedures, and knowledge base articles. Qualifications: 1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 2. Proven experience as an IT Remote Engineer or similar role. 3. In-depth knowledge of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and systems. 4. Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to handle complex technical issues. 5. Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). 6. Proficiency in hosting server setup, Linux (Ubuntu), and LAMP stack configurations. 7. Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 and Google Workspace administration. 8. Experience with Asterisk, Elastix, and VoIP technologies. 9. Proficiency in Windows Servers, VMWare, and virtualization technologies. 10. Cybersecurity knowledge and experience. 11. Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Linux Professional Institute Certification, and relevant cloud certifications are a plus.
