Production Chemist

The Production Chemist will be responsible for overseeing executing and maintaining the production of cosmetic products including creams lotions serums shampoos and other personal care items in accordance with regulatory quality and safety standards This role requires hands-on formulation experience and a deep understanding of cosmetic manufacturing processes Key Responsibilities Prepare and monitor batch production as per SOPs and BMR BPR documents Handle compounding mixing emulsifying and blending of cosmetic formulations Ensure proper weighing and measurement of raw materials Monitor production parameters such as temperature pH mixing speed and viscosity Ensure compliance with GMP ISO and cosmetic safety regulations Coordinate with QC for in-process testing and validation Maintain hygiene and cleanliness of the manufacturing area Troubleshoot any deviations or abnormalities in batch production Maintain documentation for daily production logs yield and wastage Supervise semi-skilled staff labor and ensure target completion Support scale-up activities from pilot to commercial batches Assist in equipment cleaning validation and area sanitization Qualifications Education B Sc M Sc in Chemistry B Pharm or Diploma in Cosmetics Technology Experience 1-3 years in cosmetic or personal care product manufacturing Required Skills Knowledge of cosmetic raw materials emollients surfactants emulsifiers preservatives fragrances Basic understanding of formulation science and skin compatibility Ability to work with mixers homogenizers and vacuum vessels Knowledge of SOPs GMP and cosmetic safety standards Strong documentation and observation skills Team player with good communication Preferred Experience Optional Ayurvedic or Herbal cosmetic production Handling batch sizes from 10 kg to 500 kg Experience with label compliance and MSDS documentation Salary 15 000 - 30 000 month Negotiable based on experience Job Types Full-time Permanent Pay 8 709 19 - 36 944 25 per month Schedule Day shift Work Location In person Expected Start Date 06 07 2025
