Soap & Detergent Chemist

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and innovative Soap Detergent Chemist to join our production and R D team The ideal candidate will be responsible for formulating testing and improving various soap detergent and cleaning products This role requires strong knowledge of surfactants formulation chemistry and quality control processes to ensure high-performance cost-effective and eco-friendly products Key Responsibilities Develop and optimize formulations for soaps detergents liquid cleansers dishwash gels and related products Conduct laboratory experiments to test product performance stability and quality Select and evaluate raw materials such as surfactants builders additives and fragrances Maintain documentation of formulations test results and batch trials Work with the production team to scale up lab formulations to plant-level production Monitor and troubleshoot product quality issues during manufacturing Ensure compliance with safety environmental and quality standards BIS ISO etc Research new ingredients technologies and trends in detergent and personal care chemistry Collaborate with procurement and marketing teams to balance quality performance and cost Qualifications Skills Bachelor s or Master s degree in Chemistry Chemical Engineering Industrial Chemistry or related field Minimum 2-5 years of experience in soap or detergent formulation FMCG or chemical manufacturing industry preferred Strong understanding of surfactant chemistry emulsification saponification and cleaning mechanisms Hands-on experience with lab equipment such as pH meters viscometers and titration setups Knowledge of raw material sourcing and safety regulations MSDS REACH etc Excellent analytical problem-solving and documentation skills Preferred Attributes Experience with eco-friendly or bio-based detergent formulations Familiarity with industrial scale-up processes Creative thinker with attention to detail and product innovation mindset Salary Commensurate with experience and industry standards How to Apply Send your updated resume and relevant experience details to ajaysoapmillscrm1 gmail com or Call us at 91 96716 21683 with the subject line Application for Soap Detergent Chemist Job Types Full-time Permanent Pay 25 000 00 - 40 000 00 per month Benefits Paid sick time Provident Fund Work Location In person
