Investment Counselor

Job Description

This role is for an Investment Counselor responsible for driving the investment product sales and asset gathering for a specific location. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the financial services industry, focusing on increasing the Assets Under Management (AUM), client penetration, and providing expert investment guidance.

Key Responsibilities

- Target Ownership: Take ownership of the Asset Gathering Target for the location.
- Sales & AUM Growth: Drive Investment Product Sales through Wealth and Business Development Relationship Managers (RMs). Focus on increasing the AUM of the location.
- Client Engagement: Penetrate the existing client base to create new investors in MF/Investments. Ensure a superior client experience through both qualitative and quantitative interventions.
- Portfolio Management: Assist in investment portfolio asset allocation, conduct regular portfolio monitoring/reviews, and reallocate portfolios as needed for risk management or sales opportunities.
- Team Coaching & Development: Coach and train Asset RMs and Business Development RMs on the latest products. Conduct regular Market and Product update calls for the RM teams.
- Client Interaction: Participate in client calls with RMs to educate clients, provide details, and source investments.
- Product Management: Regularly interact with product providers for updates and market feedback, and communicate this information internally.
- Client Growth: Focus on the net growth of large clients (clients with over 50 lacs INR in assets).
- Product Activation: Drive the activation of products such as PMS and AIF.

Skills & Qualifications

- Graduate / Postgraduate or an MBA.
- 5+ years of work experience in the financial services industry.
- Relevant NISM and other certifications.
- Strong skills in asset management, portfolio allocation, and risk management.
- Proven ability to coach and train sales teams.
- Excellent client communication and relationship-building skills.
