Company Description Sika is a specialty chemicals company with a leading position in the development and production of systems and products for bonding sealing damping reinforcing and protecting in the building sector and motor vehicle industry Sika has subsidiaries in 101 countries around the world and manufactures in over 300 factories Its more than 27 500 employees generated annual sales of CHF 11 71 billion in 2024 Title R D Technician Department R D Location Pune Maharashtra Reports To R D Manager Company Profile Sika is a specialty chemicals company with a globally leading position in the development and production of systems and products for bonding sealing damping reinforcing and protection in the building sector and automotive industry Sika has subsidiaries in 103 countries around the world and in over 400 factories produces innovative technologies for customers worldwide In doing so it plays a crucial role in enabling the transformation of the construction and vehicle industries toward greater environmental compatibility With more than 33 000 employees the company generated sales of CHF 11 71 billion in 2024 Overview This position will be responsible to run new formulations in lab and test it as per the specifications or benchmarked product He will also support in pilot trial batches monitoring and developing new test methods quality control criteria and manufacturing instructions for chemicals Adhesives Sealants Duties and Responsibilities Run new formulations in lab based on local requirements - Sealants and Adhesives Document the results of the tests in form of a test report in a professional matter Set up laboratory equipment and instrumentation needed for tests with minimal supervision Work out of additional technical data such as weatherability chemical resistance compatibility other relevant material properties Assist in the scale up from laboratory scale to full production Place order to Test Centre and other internal or external units for specific tests Recognize irregularities product problems etc and communicate it properly Consult with the Senior Technical and R D Colleagues regarding lab projects activity and provide appropriate follow-up Education B Sc M Sc in chemistry Polymers Sciences Experience Minimum of 2 years experience in R D Application Test customer support technical service in relevant market field of Specialty Chemicals Adhesives and Sealants Preferably Polyurethane SMP Epoxy Acrylics Skills Hands on experience in running and testing formulations in lab Strong collaborator and team player Good communication in English Knowledge Proficient in MS Office DoE etc Methodical and accurate documentation Good verbal and written communication skills Qualifications B Sc M Sc in chemistry Polymers Sciences Additional Information We provide Transport facility to Chakan Factory from below pickup points We provide transportation to below Pickup Point Kindly apply if the travel is convenient for you Route 1 Vishrantwadi Dighi Bhosari Jai Ganesh Samrajya Modern College Sika India Chakan Plant Route 2 Dange chowk Ravet Gurudwara chowk Sant Dnyaneshwar chowk Ankush chowk Ashtavinayak chowk Sika India Chakan Plant
