Job Title Production Engineer - Fabrication Department Production Fabrication Reporting To Production Manager Plant Head Job Summary The Production Engineer Fabrication will be responsible for planning coordinating and supervising fabrication activities on the shop floor The role ensures production targets are achieved with quality cost-effectiveness and timely delivery while adhering to safety standards The engineer will also be involved in process improvement manpower management and technical support for fabrication projects Key Responsibilities Plan and execute daily fabrication activities as per production schedule Review fabrication drawings and ensure jobs are carried out as per specifications Supervise cutting welding bending machining and assembly processes Prepare and maintain in-process inspection reports and ensure quality at every stage Coordinate with design quality and maintenance departments to resolve production issues Monitor material usage reduce wastage and ensure optimum utilization of resources Ensure final inspection and quality checks before dispatch Maintain production records job cards and daily progress reports Implement lean manufacturing 5S and other process improvement techniques Train and guide operators welders and helpers for skill development Ensure adherence to safety standards and preventive maintenance schedules Support new product development and prototype fabrication Key Skills Competencies Strong knowledge of fabrication processes cutting welding bending grinding assembly etc Ability to read and interpret fabrication engineering drawings Hands-on knowledge of in-process and final inspection as per drawings Familiarity with welding standards materials and fabrication tolerances Problem-solving and decision-making skills Good leadership communication and team management abilities Knowledge of AutoCAD SolidWorks preferred Qualification Experience Diploma B Tech in Mechanical Production Industrial Engineering 3-7 years of experience in fabrication industry structural sheet metal heavy fabrication or similar Job Type Full-time Pay 20 000 00 - 22 000 00 per month Shift availability Day Shift Preferred Night Shift Preferred Work Location In person
