Further your career at Ball a world leader in manufacturing sustainable aluminium packaging Achieve extraordinary things when you join our team and make a difference in your professional development the community and around the globe Ball is thrilled to receive Newsweek s 2023 Top 100 Global Most Loved Workplace award As a sustainable product leader we have over 16 000 global team members From endlessly recyclable aluminum cans and cups to aerosol bottles our goal is to contribute to a better community society and world Job SummarySupervise and manage the quality process in line with the overall corporate customer quality requirement Provide assistance to Quality Manager in cost effective quality improvement activities Key ResponsibilitiesQuality representative for ISO FSSC Manages all documentation and control and communication of change Maintain automated quality equipment like Torus Gauges Monitoring and Maintain systems like SFOL VSCAN Salesforce Etc Ensuring that the quality control of incoming materials during all production manufacturing and packaging are to company and or customer requirements Taking actions organizing people working with production maintenance team for reducing HFI spoilage at minimum level Also to ensure that no sub-standard goods are dispatched to the customer To use and improve existing process control HFI analysis product verification and all subsequent operations used during manufacture To interpret results and present conclusions to production personnel and management highlighting attributes which are out of or moving out of specification and the resultant problems on the finished product or for the customer To Co-ordinate and train personnel in all facets of inspection including instruments gauges and charts used in the execution of their jobs To have direct responsibility for standards verification and acceptance or rejection of the cans being manufactured To ensure that quality of cans is within established customer requirements To ensure no can dispatches are made to customers which are below the acceptable standards both from the aspect of product integrity or packaging as well Liase with suppliers regarding HFI materials ensuring full credit To promote quality improvement and preventative actions To ensure that all reportees are working in a safe manner and to promote safety in all activities To follow and maintain organisation s SOPs and safe working practices Comply with any legal environmental and safety requirements and or checks To promote quality improvement and preventative actions by involvement in continuous improvement activities to meet the key performance objectives and targets Responsible for food safety standard implementation As per applicable standard EducationDegree Diploma in Technical Discipline And or Graduate Post Graduate in Science stream Additional qualification in ISO QMS FSSC 6 Sigma will be added advantage Previous ExperienceDiploma with 10 Yrs and Graduation Degree with 6-8 years having manufacturing background in a high speed high volume continuous process preferably from food packaging industry Successful track record in man management Skills CompetenciesProblem solving total quality skills Understanding experience of working to External Quality Environmental Standards i e ISO 9001 2000 14001 FSSC Hands on Experience on Maintaining automated quality equipment like Torus Gauges or similar Monitoring and Maintain systems like SFOL VSCAN Salesforce or similar Ability in liaising with external customers government bodies IF REQUIRED Good understanding of modern lean manufacture technique - SMED Kaizen 5S Kanban Structured Problem Solving TPM OEE SPC 6 Sigma 8D etc Hand on knowledge on MS office applications Trained in the systems that support the sites Document Control CAM databases Ball Corporation is an Equal Opportunity Employer We actively encourage applications from everybody regardless of gender age ethnicity faith ability or orientation When you join Ball you belong to a team of over 16 000 members worldwide Our products range from infinitely recyclable aluminium cans cups to aerosol bottles solutions that enable our customers to contribute to a better world Each of us has a deep commitment to diversity and inclusion which is the foundation of our culture of belonging Everyone at Ball is making a difference by doing what we love Because what we create may change but what we will always make is a difference Please note the advertised job title might vary from the job title on the contract due to local job title structure and global HR systems No agencies please
