Hiring specifications Job Purpose: To lead and grow Novus Hi Tech’s Solar Business by acquiring new customers, building partnerships, and managing key client relationships across the industrial, commercial, and institutional sectors, with a focus on delivering custom solar energy solutions. Role Expectations: - Identify and pursue new business opportunities for Automation, setup solar plant for module cell. - Lead generation, Enquiry, Built sales pipeline - Engage with clients to understand energy requirements and propose suitable solar solutions. - Prepare techno-commercial proposals and lead negotiations to closure. - Collaborate with engineering, design, and project execution teams for seamless delivery. - Track industry trends, government policies, and regulatory frameworks (e.g., net metering, subsidies). - Build and maintain long-term client relationships to ensure repeat business and referrals. - Achieve monthly and quarterly business development targets and generate sustainable revenue. - Candidate should have experience working with solar projects and renewable energy systems. Reporting structure: - This role will report to: Head – Solar Division / Director – Business Strategy Interactions: Internal Stakeholders: - Engineering Teams, Design Teams, Project Execution Team, HODs External Stakeholders: - Solar Manufacturer and customer, Government/Discom Officials, Vendors, Consultants PEOPLE SPECIFICATIONS Profile: Ideally - - BE/B.Tech in Electrical, Mechanical, Energy Engineering or Master’s degree or related field - 5-10 years of Sales or Business Development experience in the solar energy or renewable sector - Should have hands-on exposure to C&I rooftop solar or utility-scale solar manufacturing projects Requisites: - Knowledge of solar energy systems, power electronics, and net metering processes - Familiarity with PPA models, CAPEX/OPEX business structures, and regulatory norms - Comfortable with client site visits, energy audits, and on-ground sales strategy execution Competencies: Technical: - Understanding of solar manufacturing, installation of solar production line, PV system design and sizing - Basic technical knowledge of installation of production line and machinery used, inverters, panels, mounting structures, and battery systems - Ability to interpret load profiles, generate basic ROI calculations, and develop feasibility reports - Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and CRM tools Behavioral: Hi Tech way of working: We value behavior aligned with CCODERS - Customer First: Operate with customer success mind set and align all our actions accordingly. - Collaborative problem solving: Organization interest supersedes individual interests; working together to solve problems effectively. - Ownership & Commitment: Going above & beyond the call of duty while also keeping up with the promises & targets under any circumstances. - Data Driven, First Principle : Objective Decision making based on data (Not on Hunches) - Expanding-Growth Mind set: Be open to new challenges whilst willing to step out of comfort zone in order to learn and grow. - Result & commercial orientation: Manage cost and resources to achieve business outcomes & commercial success. - Speed and Scalable Process Approach: Deploy processes that are flexible, agile and unlocks business value with speed.
