Job Description

Key Responsibilities

- Aftertreatment Integration Support: Provide integration support throughout the product development cycle, including pre-product planning, New Product Introduction (NPI), and Change Management..
- Calibration Development: Develop and deliver ATI calibration per program requirements, including:
- Controller tuning for aftertreatment components such as DOC, DPF, and SCR.
- Aftertreatment system diagnostics tuning.
- Catalyst health management strategy and tuning.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Obtain input and negotiate with stakeholders, providing recommendations that support project decisions, feasibility studies, and design optimization.
- Process Improvement: Apply and enhance processes related to thermal and fluid sciences, utilizing tools like GT-Power (optional), Fluent, and Data Analysis Tool.
- Project Leadership: Independently lead smaller business impact projects and manage
- Technical Direction: Influence the technical direction within project teams, continuing to develop and refine core competencies.

Skill And Experience Required

- Education: Graduate: BE (Mech), PG: MTech (Thermal Science or Machine Design)
- Experience required is 5 to 8 years. Previous experience as an Engineer in a relevant discipline, with a proven track record in technical problem-solving and quality decision-making.
- Competencies:
- Analytical Proficiency: Ability to interpret and predict system performance using quantitative methods and tools.
- Systems Thinking: Skill in defining system boundaries and understanding interactions within the system.
- Effective Communication: Strong communication skills to convey complex information to various stakeholders.
- Decision Quality: Capacity to make informed decisions promptly to keep projects on track.
- Resourcefulness: Efficiently secure and deploy resources to achieve project goals.
- Essential Skills:
- Experience with aftertreatment systems and tuning.
- Proficiency in engine system testing and data analysis.
- Strong understanding of combustion and emissions science principles.
- Capability in fluid dynamics, heat transfer, and thermodynamics.
- Preferred Skills:
- Program management skills.
- Familiarity with MS Office tools.
