We are looking for a Technical Writer to join our Engineering team, based in Pune - Baner.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Technical Writer with over 5 years of experience to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and updating technical documentation for our products and solutions. This role involves close collaboration with engineering, product management, and customer support teams to ensure that our documentation is accurate, comprehensive, and user-friendly.

Job Requirements

- Create, update, and maintain technical documentation, including user guides, installation guides, API documentation, and system administration manuals
- Develop clear, concise, and comprehensive documentation tailored to various audiences, including end-users, developers, and system administrators
- Work closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather information and understand the technical aspects of products
- Participate in product design and development meetings to understand and document new features and changes
- Manage and maintain a repository of technical documentation, ensuring all content is up-to-date and easily accessible
- Implement documentation standards and best practices to ensure consistency and quality across all documentation
- Assist the customer support team by providing documentation that helps resolve customer issues
- Create and update FAQs, troubleshooting guides, and other customer-facing documentation
- Review and edit documentation created by other team members for accuracy, clarity, and completeness
- Conduct usability testing and gather feedback to improve the overall quality and effectiveness of documentation
- Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate internal teams and customers on the use of documentation and technical content
- Stay updated on the latest industry trends and tools in technical writing and documentation
- Create diagrams, charts, and other visual aids to complement the written content
- Develop and maintain documentation standards and style guides to ensure consistency across all documentation
- Feedback Incorporation: Incorporate feedback from users and stakeholders to improve the quality and usability of documentation

Required Skills

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to explain complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner
- Proficiency in using documentation tools and software such as Adobe FrameMaker, MadCap Flare, or similar
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and content management systems (CMS)
- Basic understanding of programming languages and APIs is a plus

Education

- Bachelor&aposs degree in Technical Writing, Communications, Computer Science, or a related field..
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to adapt to rapidly changing technologies and processes
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical writing, preferably in the software or telecommunications industry
