Hiring for manufacturing company in Guwahati Job post :- Barcode Scanner and Packing Executive Education :- Minimum H.S passed (barcode scanner) & not need any education (packing)Salary:- 14500 to 18500 Position Overview The Barcode Scanner and Packing Executive is responsible for scanning product barcodes for identification, inventory tracking, and dispatch preparation, as well as packing goods securely for delivery or storage. The role requires accuracy, speed, and a strong focus on quality to ensure products are correctly labeled, counted, and packed as per company standards. Key Responsibilities 1. Scanning & Product Verification Operate barcode scanners to read product codes accurately. Verify product information with packing lists and system records. Report discrepancies, damaged goods, or missing items to the supervisor. 2. Packing & Labeling Pack products carefully to avoid damage during transportation. Attach labels and shipping details on cartons and boxes. Ensure correct quantity, product type, and batch number in each package. 3. Inventory & Documentation Update scanned product data into the inventory management software. Assist in stock counting and maintaining accurate inventory records. Organize packed goods in designated storage or dispatch areas. 4. Quality & Safety Follow safety guidelines for handling goods and using packing tools. Maintain cleanliness in the packing and scanning area. Adhere to company quality standards in packaging. Skills & Competencies Basic knowledge of barcode scanning devices and inventory systems. Good attention to detail and accuracy. Basic computer literacy for data entry. Physical stamina to stand for long hours and lift moderate weights. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines. Teamwork and willingness to work in shifts. Educational Qualification Minimum 10th pass (12th pass preferred). Training in warehouse operations or inventory control is a plus.
