About Caxton Associates Caxton Associates LLP is a global hedge fund headquartered in London with offices in New York Singapore Monaco and Dubai founded in 1983 Our expertise spans multiple asset classes and geographies supported by world-class infrastructure and a commitment to industry best practice We currently have approximately 170 staff and are establishing a new office in Bangalore and as part of our continued growth About The Role This role will be responsible for setting up managing and scaling our India office operational infrastructure and serve as the second most senior leader in the region The role will report to the Head of India with dual reporting line into global leadership in London with respect to the various functions that they manage Finance Product Control Fund Accounting Corporate Accounting Taxation Fund and Trading Operations Compliance control and monitoring Human Resources Principal Responsibilities Hire train and mentor a team of approx 10-15 middle and back-office staff Develop clear KPIs escalation procedures and workflow metrics to track and report performance Maintain strong internal controls and adherence to global operational policies and regulatory standards Liaise with London teams daily to maintain data integrity and operational efficiency Oversee all back-office non-tech activities including Daily P L verification trade support reconciliations settlements NAV oversight and middle-to-back-office coordination Oversee daily P L generation and validation across various PM desks rates FX commodities equities Review reconciliations between trading books and accounting ledgers ensuring alignment between operations product control and fund accounting Review compliance monitoring deliverables Oversee the preparation of the Indian entity management accounts along with regulatory filing of accounts tax compliance compliance with labour laws payroll and benefits expense tracking and intercompany transactions etc for the management entity Coordinate with external auditors tax advisors and fund administrators for annual audits financial statements and investor reporting Requirements 10 years of relevant experience in hedge fund asset management or investment banking operations Chartered Accountant CA CFA or MBA Finance preferred with a product control or fund accounting background Proven experience managing multi-asset including complex securities post-trade processes and working with international teams Strong knowledge of operational workflows across OTC and listed products Strong understanding of OTC and Fixed income valuation frameworks Familiarity with prime brokerage fund administration and trade lifecycle systems Prior experience in setting up or scaling an offshore operations center is preferred Excellent leadership communication and stakeholder management skills Operates with the highest degree of ethics and integrity Caxton Associates is an Equal Opportunity Employer We respect and seek to empower each individual and support the diverse cultures perspectives skills and experiences within our workforce
