About ARKO ANSR is the market leader in enabling organizations build manage and scale global teams through Global Capability Centers GCCs Global Capability Centers act as strategic business partners to their parent organizations making them global hubs for innovation and technology work Partnering with ANSR ARKO is extending its global presence by foraying into India ARKOs India Operations will be an integrated global hub focused on driving technology innovation thereby giving you the opportunity to work on cutting-edge solutions to solve complex challenges for our business and our customers ARKO is the sixth largest convenience store operator in the United States and operates more than 3 800 sites across its retail wholesale and fleet segments Position Senior Staff Accountant Department Accounting FLSA Status Exempt Job summary The Senior Staff Accountant is responsible for performing high level accounting tasks detailed analysis general ledger entries and account reconciliations in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and practices Essential duties and responsibilities Performs senior level accounting tasks Ensure the transactions of the business have been properly accounted for and accurately reflected in the financial statements Analyze financial data and use independent judgment for purposes of identifying variances when possible resolving accounting operating system issues compiling statistical information and developing procedures to improve current processes Research a wide variety of financial topics to provide information or recommendations that impact the organizations operations Responsible for general ledger entries reconciliations and financial reporting in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and practices Conform and adhere to internal controls over accounting procedures as set forth by upper management Interfaces frequently with various levels within the organization Job requirements and qualifications Minimum of a bachelor s degree in Accounting Finance 5 years of General Ledger Accounting and reconciliation experience in a corporate environment Thorough understanding of GAAP Proficient in the utilization of Microsoft Office products Excel Word and Outlook Ability to multi-task and complete projects within specific deadlines Experience completing detailed accounting schedules Ability to read and understand P L statements Strong computer presentation and organizational skills Excellent oral and written communication skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Detail oriented with excellent time management skills Experience in lease accounting is preferred but not required
