Job Summary The Assistant HR Manager is a hands-on, operational role responsible for managing the day-to-day functions of the Human Resources department. This position requires deep expertise across HR generalist duties, recruitment and onboarding, and meticulous payroll processing. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations and contribute to maintaining a positive, efficient, and well-managed employee lifecycle. Key Responsibilities - Manage end-to-end recruitment processes including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding. - Support the implementation of HR policies, procedures, and employee engagement initiatives. - Handle payroll processing accurately ensuring statutory compliance. - Maintain employee records, HR databases, and documentation as per company standards. - Support employee grievance redressal, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution. - Ensure compliance with all applicable labour laws and internal audit requirements. - Required Skills and Qualifications - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. - 4–5 years of relevant experience in HR generalist functions, talent acquisition, and payroll. - Strong knowledge of HR processes, statutory compliance, and HRIS systems. - Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. - Proficiency in MS Office and HR management software. - Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Preferred Attributes - Analytical mindset with attention to detail. - Ability to multitask and manage multiple HR functions efficiently. - Strong team collaboration and problem-solving abilities.
