Job Category Information Technology Are you ready to make an impact at DTCCDo you want to work on innovative projects collaborate with a dynamic and supportive team and receive investment in your professional development At DTCC we are at the forefront of innovation in the financial markets We are committed to helping our employees grow and succeed We believe that you have the skills and drive to make a real impact We foster a thriving internal community and are committed to creating a workplace that looks like the world that we serve Pay and Benefits Competitive compensation including base pay and annual incentive Comprehensive health and life insurance and well-being benefits based on location Pension Retirement benefits Paid Time Off and Personal Family Care and other leaves of absence when needed to support your physical financial and emotional well-being DTCC offers a flexible hybrid model of 3 days onsite and 2 days remote onsite Tuesdays Wednesdays and a third day unique to each team or employee The Impact you will have in this role The DS Distributed Systems Engineering and Integration team is primarily responsible for engineering and supporting select middleware solutions on distributed Linux and appliances Principal Systems Engineer responsible for design installation configuration and support of a set of software products and working with other infrastructure teams Linux Networking Data Center Application Development and Client Connectivity to implement solutions using those products Your Primary Responsibilities Installation configuration and maintenance of FIX Appia TradeScope QuickFIX and SWIFT Alliance products Work with development staff and team mates to architect implementation and support solutions Assist development staff in troubleshooting application issues with respect to the use of IBM FIX and SWIFT Provide immediate support for production Appia QuickFIX and SWIFT Alliance implementations Analyze performance and capacity statistics and provide recommendations Maintain and author utilities in administrative shell programs bash perl Participate in weekend on-call support rotations Provide support for weekend implementations and Disaster Recovery tests Build and maintain detailed system documentation and diagrams Aligns risk and control processes into day to day responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk escalates appropriately Use of Jira Bitbucket Ansible for project and software management Work both independently and in a Team as an energetic team member Solving problem investigation and resolution Debugging and fixing problems in all run-time environments Provide solutions for automation Recommends process and technology changes Capacity planning incident and problem management Qualifications Minimum of 10 years of related experience Bachelor s degree preferred or equivalent experience Talents Needed for Success Bachelor s degree preferably in Computer Science or Engineering Strong knowledge of Broadridge Appia Open-source QuickFIX and SWIFT Alliance Access products Strong ability to diagnose and fix problems with middleware FIX and SWIFT products Hands-on experience in support of a real-time trading environment Good knowledge of solutions that support applications using high-performance messaging middleware Good knowledge of FIX protocol and FIX order flow Understanding of FIX client and Exchange connectivity support Good administrator knowledge of Linux and networking with good command over any scripting language such as Shell Perl Python etc Basic knowledge of Amazon Web Services Experience developing automated solutions in a distributed computing environment Strong ability to multitask Excellent analytical verbal and written communication skills We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company We do not discriminate on the basis of race religion color national origin sex gender gender expression sexual orientation age marital status veteran status or disability status We will ensure that individuals with disabilities are provided reasonable accommodation to participate in the job application or interview process to perform essential job functions and to receive other benefits and privileges of employment Please contact us to request accommodation
