Job Description Job Description Summary The Analytics Engineer will support the development and maintenance of data pipelines, models, and analytics solutions to enable data-driven decision-making across the organization. This role will focus on learning and applying best practices in data engineering and analytics while collaborating with business users and senior team members to deliver impactful insights. The Analytics Engineer will contribute to the implementation of key performance indicators (KPIs) such as Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, and Productivity (SQDIP), with a focus on supply chain processes. Role Overview - Support Data Pipeline Development: Assist in building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines to process and transform data from various sources into usable formats. - Data Modeling: Collaborate with senior team members to create and maintain data models that support analytics and reporting needs. - Understanding Business Processes: Learn and understand business processes, particularly within supply chain sites, to support the tracking and reporting of key performance indicators (KPIs) such as Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, and Productivity (SQDIP). - Collaboration with Business Users: Work closely with business users to understand their data needs and provide support in implementing analytics solutions that align with business objectives. - Data Quality Assurance: Assist in monitoring and validating data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and reliability for analytics purposes. - Analytics and Visualization: Develop basic dashboards and visualizations using Spotfire under the guidance of senior team members to support business decision-making. - Documentation and Standards: Contribute to the creation and maintenance of documentation for data pipelines, models, and processes, ensuring adherence to best practices. - Learning and Development: Continuously develop technical skills and knowledge of data engineering, analytics tools, and business processes to grow into more advanced responsibilities. - Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for improving data workflows and analytics processes, and propose solutions to senior team members. Compliance and Security: Ensure data solutions comply with organizational policies, data privacy regulations, and security standards. The Ideal Candidate - Ideal candidate should have 3+ Yeras experience in SQL and Data visualization tools. Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field. - 3 to 5 years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or a related field (internship experience is acceptable). - Basic knowledge of SQL, Python, and data visualization tools (e.g., Spotfire) - Foundational understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT(Talend, HVR, Informatica) processes, and database design. - Willingness to learn and work with data pipeline tools (e.g., Apache Airflow, dbt, or similar). - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with business users and cross-functional teams. - Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and data warehousing solutions (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery) is a plus. Preferred Qualifications - Experience with data visualization tools like Spotfire or similar platforms. - Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like JIRA. - Knowledge of GE Aerospace's FLIGHT DECK operating system and lean principles. - Interest in the aerospace or manufacturing industry. - Learning Agility: Demonstrated ability to learn new tools, technologies, and business processes quickly. - Customer Focus: Eagerness to understand and address business needs through data-driven solutions. - Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with business users and senior team members to deliver analytics solutions. - Attention to Detail: Strong focus on data accuracy, quality, and reliability. - Integrity: Commitment to upholding the highest standards of data security and compliance.
