About Us At Saubha Aerial Systems we are building the future of drone safety We are currently developing Autonomous Drone Parachute Systems that protect UAVs across delivery surveillance defense and mobility applications with many more safety-focused products in the pipeline By making drones safer we are helping unlock their large-scale adoption in everyday life We are thriving to be pioneers in the drone safety segment bringing reliability and trust to the skies Description We are seeking a motivated Mechanical Engineering intern to support the design analysis and prototyping of advanced parachute ejection systems and related hardware This role will focus on mechanical design and testing of spring-based cold gas and hot gas ejection mechanisms along with the development of mounting accessories and test equipment Design and prototype mechanical systems using CAD tools e g SolidWorks Fusion 360 or similar Perform structural analysis using Ansys Structural or equivalent FEA tools to evaluate performance and safety Apply core engineering principles and creativity to develop solutions to real-world mechanical problems Implement Design for Manufacturing DFM and Design for Assembly DFA with a focus on machining milling turning and 3D printing techniques Assist in material selection based on mechanical and thermal performance requirements Support experimental setup prototyping and mechanical testing of components and assemblies Maintain detailed documentation of design iterations analyses test procedures and results Requirements Proficiency in Ansys Structural and familiarity with FEA concepts Hands-on experience with 3D CAD modeling and mechanical drafting Solid understanding of mechanical design DFM DFA and common manufacturing processes Knowledge of materials and their applications in mechanical systems Strong analytical thinking problem-solving skills and creative mindset High level of initiative attention to detail and determination to deliver working solutions Benefits An opportunity to work with a passionate and driven team dedicated to making drone operations safe and reliable paving the way for widespread adoption of drone technologies Hands-on experience in developing and testing real-world hardware solutions A collaborative and innovation-driven work environment Full-time role consideration after 4 months based on performance
