Position: Mechanical Design Engineer - Plumbing

Department: Mechanical

Job Location: Bengaluru & Pune

Experience: 5-15 years in Plumbing Design

Skillsets:

  • System Design: Design plumbing systems for projects, including domestic water, sanitary, stormwater, hot water, and gas systems.
  • Calculations: Perform calculations as directed by senior engineers.
  • Layout Development: Design and develop plumbing system layouts, including pipe sizing and equipment selection.
  • Code Knowledge: Apply knowledge of international plumbing design codes.
  • Independent Work: Independently fulfill design requirements for projects.
  • Design Development: Develop calculations, design narratives, and work plans as the basis of design.
  • BIM Proficiency: Utilize Revit and work within a BIM environment.
  • Document Review: Review and oversee detailed plumbing design documents, including calculations, plans, specifications, and bills of quantities.
  • Design Oversight: Ensure plumbing design meets codes, standards, best practices, and quality assurance/quality control requirements.
  • Project Coordination: Manage and coordinate complex designs and teams, ensuring timely completion of documents.
  • Technical Application: Apply advanced engineering principles to resolve technical and coordination issues.
  • Sustainable Design: Experience with LEED and sustainable design projects.
  • Coordination: Collaborate with other in-house disciplines (electrical, structural, architectural, landscape) to develop integrated designs.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.E/B.Tech Mechanical)
  • Experience: 2-15 years in plumbing engineering.
