About the Role: Position Title: SQL Developer Corporate Title: Analyst / Sr Analyst Location: MGS - Bengaluru Shift timing: EMEA Shift (2.30 PM -11.30 PM IST) Job Profile: Position details: Purpose: - To enhance the existing risk reporting data warehouses, tools and technologies. Roles and Responsibilities: Responsibilities will include: - Contribute to the design and development of efficient data models, schemas and pipelines - Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures and functions to extract, transform and load data - Optimize query performance to ensure data integrity and consistency - Providing database technology subject matter expertise, collaborating with risk stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions - Implement data security measures and access controls aligned with firm’s governance policies - Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines; identify performance bottlenecks and implement solutions - Participate in code reviews and document change made in the required format - Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, deployment and monitoring of data solutions Job Requirements: - Bachelors’ Degree (or foreign equivalent degree) in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Experience in the financial services or banking industry is preferred. Essential: - Advanced proficiency in SQL including stored procedures, views, triggers and functions - Solid knowledge of data warehousing principles, dimensional modelling and star schema design - Experience working with large data warehouses including performance tuning, query optimization and execution plan analysis - Familiarity with data integration tools (SSIS, ADF) and techniques (ELT, ETL) - Experience of using Control-M or similar orchestration tools Preferred: - Hands-on experience with reporting tools such as SSRS and Power BI - Familiarity with scripting languages (e.G. Python, Powershell) for data processing and automation - Experience of working with risk systems within a financial institution - Experience with multiple database platforms e.G.
