Job Description About the role System Engineering Manager You will be responsible for Specialise on Bigdata Systems Engineering area. Focus on all work being high quality as a priority to avoid rework and ensure delivery is right first time Building systems and components to meet the delivery need for the team. I follow established practices and guidance using the latest tools and techniques. Operate existing area and resolve issues with the help of engineers using existing procedures, my knowledge and the knowledge of those around me. Will have a range of technical understanding of the skills (for each area) including: Compute Platforms - Windows, Linux, Virtualisation, Public & Private cloud Database - Oracle, SQL administration, No SQL databases General skill - DevOps tools, Scripting, Version control, Monitoring & Alerting Knowledge on AI and related components Understanding of agile ways of working Collaborate with end users and other engineering teams and create templates for onboarding. Keep my technical knowledge up to date and keep track of new technologies Implement changes successfully and aware of the change management processes Understanding of networks, operating systems and databases You will need Key people and teams I work within and outside of Tesco Software Engineers Systems Engineers Technical Programme Managers Product managers Colleagues and business stakeholders across Tesco Stakeholder management Technical skills as appropriate to specialism Experience relevant for this job Previous experience delivering system engineering solutions Whats in it for you At Tesco, we are committed to providing the best for you.
