Translation Services Translate written materials from Polish to target language and vice versa, including but not limited to legal documents, technical manuals, marketing materials, business correspondence, websites, and reports. Ensure translated content is accurate, contextually appropriate, and culturally sensitive. Maintain consistency of terminology and style throughout all documents, adhering to client or organizational guidelines. Proofread and edit translations done by others for accuracy, clarity, and grammar. Collaborate with subject matter experts to clarify terminology and content specifics as needed. 2. Interpretation Services Provide consecutive and simultaneous interpretation services during meetings, conferences, phone calls, and events. Facilitate clear and accurate communication between Polish-speaking and non-Polish-speaking participants. Prepare for interpretation assignments by researching relevant topics, vocabulary, and cultural nuances. Manage challenging or sensitive conversations with professionalism and impartiality. 3. Cultural Consulting Advise internal teams and external clients on cultural differences that may impact communication, marketing, or negotiation strategies. Assist in localizing content to fit cultural expectations and linguistic preferences of Polish-speaking audiences. Participate in cross-cultural training sessions or workshops to enhance organizational cultural competence. 4. Quality Assurance and Compliance Ensure all translations and interpretations comply with legal, ethical, and confidentiality standards, especially when dealing with sensitive or confidential information. Maintain strict adherence to deadlines while ensuring the highest quality output. Use CAT (Computer-Assisted Translation) tools, glossaries, and translation memory software to improve consistency and efficiency. Keep abreast of industry standards, best practices, and new language technologies. 5. Project Management and Collaboration Manage multiple translation and interpretation projects simultaneously, coordinating with clients and internal stakeholders to deliver timely results. Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and other linguists to clarify requirements and expectations. Participate in client meetings to understand project scopes and provide language-related insights. Document and report project progress and challenges to supervisors.Skills and Competencies Exceptional command of Polish and target language, both written and spoken. Strong knowledge of grammar, syntax, and idiomatic expressions in both languages. Excellent listening and note-taking skills for interpretation. Familiarity with translation software tools such as SDL Trados, MemoQ, or Wordfast. Strong research skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. High ethical standards and discretion in handling confidential information.
