Job SummaryResponsible for supply planning purchase order execution and inventory management Ensuring optimum inventory levels minimal stock-outs and minimizing inventory write-offs Responsible for Procurement of Raw Materials Packaging Materials and Indirect Materials Services including direct imports and local purchases Managing Procurement operations for multiple plant sites and business units Plant Sites produce finished food products for industrial retail sales Sites would be in India and overseas Procurement operations would have to be managed remotely for multiple sites Roles ResponsibilitiesSupply Planning Undertaking monthly supply planning MRP for raw and packaging materials basis material forecasts opening stock open orders and shipments in pipeline and planning new orders basis item attributes lead time MoQs etc Maintain item wise and vendor wise database of key aspects Inventory Management Maintaining optimal inventory levels to manage working capital requirements as well as ensuring no minimal stock-outs Identifying and expediting critical shipments and prioritizing the shipments to receive them in the shortest time possible Order Execution Oversee and support team where required for order execution activities timely purchase order creation material collection dispatch shipment tracking import clearances and supplier payments Timely resolution of quality rejection cases Maintain order tracker to have systematic database Cost Control Minimize demurrage and detention for import shipments Optimizing order quantities and shipments to balance freight clearance inventory carrying and storage costs Recovering shipment damages from supplier insurance Minimizing risk of material expiry by ensuring timely action for slow moving items and ensuring suppliers maintain the shelf life norms for material shipments Stakeholder Team Management Co-ordinating and Engaging with Internal Quality Technical Production Warehouse Stores Finance and External Supplier External Warehouse Stakeholders to resolve issues Coaching and mentoring the procurement team Upgrade the team skill set to help them realize their full potential KPIs Buying within budget prices Risk Mitigation of Supplies Working capital management Material availability Buying of all RM PM Demurrage detention charge Cost Reduction Initiatives Inventory level Non Moving Inventory Ensuring availability of material for planned production Adherence to supplier business share in coordination with central purchase Forecasts to suppliers ERP Implementation Training and Development Vendor validation in conjunction with R D and Corporate SC Supplier Relationship Management Work experience requirement Minimum 8 years of relevant procurement experience Minimum 4 years of experience as a Procurement operations manager lead for imports imports local setup Minimum 4 years experience as a supply planning manager Preferred industries - Food FMCG QualificationCommensurate Technical or functional qualification with a Bachelor Degree Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration with specialization in Materials Management SCM Operations Packaging ManagementCompetenciesFinancial AcumenNegotiating SkillsProcurement Material and Vendor ManagementContract Vendor managementInventory managementCommunicating effectivelySelf and Team ManagementPlanning Decision MakingCustomer CentricityOwnership Result OrientationBusiness Unit Pristine Ingredients PIPL Business Group Bakery BK01
