The Delivery Executive plays a crucial role in representing the company during customer interactions and maintaining high standards of service. This role requires good organizational skills, knowledge of delivery routes, and the ability to handle goods safely. Key Responsibilities: Order Pickup and Delivery: Collect products from the warehouse, store, or designated pickup locations. Deliver orders to customers within the scheduled time frame. Verify the accuracy of orders before dispatching and upon delivery. Customer Interaction: Maintain a polite and professional demeanor with customers. Handle customer queries or complaints during delivery and report unresolved issues to the supervisor. Obtain customer signatures or confirmations for delivered orders. Route Planning and Timely Delivery: Plan efficient delivery routes to optimize time and fuel usage. Monitor traffic, weather, and other conditions to ensure timely deliveries. Update the management on delays or issues affecting deliveries. Safety and Vehicle Maintenance: Ensure the delivery vehicle is in proper working condition and follow safety guidelines. Report any vehicle issues or damages promptly. Follow traffic rules and maintain a clean driving record. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain records of deliveries, including order details, customer acknowledgments, and any discrepancies. Report daily activities, completed deliveries, and pending orders to supervisors. Assist in inventory management by reporting returned or undelivered items. Skills and Competencies: Good communication and interpersonal skills. Basic knowledge of delivery routes and local geography. Punctual, responsible, and customer-focused. Ability to handle packages carefully and efficiently. Basic record-keeping skills. Educational and Experience Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent; higher education is a plus. Valid driver’s license and experience in operating two-wheelers or four-wheelers, depending on delivery requirements. Prior experience in delivery services is preferred but not mandatory. Required bike, Addhar card, PAN card, Bank passbook Work Environment: Field-based work involving frequent travel. May require working on weekends, holidays, or during peak hours. Physically active role requiring lifting, carrying, and delivering goods safely. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Timeliness of deliveries. Accuracy and completeness of orders delivered.
