Summary Description Syntiant Corp a leader in the high-growth AI software and semiconductor solutions space has entered into an agreement to acquire a large multi-national sensor business with global revenues in excess of 250 million per year and is looking for an experienced and talented Infrastructure and EDA Engineer The Engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining EDA tools and flows for Syntiant s ASIC teams as well as managing and upgrading the compute infrastructure Specific Duties and Responsibilities Managing Syntiant s IT Infrastructure and related services Installing configuring maintaining performing upgrades and downgrades troubleshooting documenting infrastructure components Windows OS Linux OS Storage Backups etc for both on-premises and cloud computing Evaluate performance monitor workloads and analyze results to ensure optimal operations Supporting EDA Electronic Design Automation environment Cadence Synopsys Mentor Graphics Pads etc Example license server management and monitoring engineering database management and mirroring user and project environment creation and management setup tool flows for tools from multiple vendors IP repository management Manage on-premises as well as cloud platform for EDA tool usage and IP repository Support internal and external EDA users Develop a collaborative EDA ecosystem across the company that covers not only licenses but sharing of tool expertise and experiences Develop Maintain and Migrate IP repositories and Version Control Systems Develop and improve upon operational procedures and standards Requirements Qualifications Education and Experience Required Advanced degree in electrical engineering or computer engineering 5 years of experience with a variety of EDA flows from a variety of vendors Experience spanning analog and digital design and IP development usage and maintenance Experience using and developing flows for tools from Ansys Cadence Keysight Siemens and Synopsys tools not all five required but experience across vendors desired Experience with deployment and use of EDA tools on on-premises compute as well as commercial cloud platforms Experience with IP module maintenance and usage Experience with Repository and Version Control Systems Example Git Linux administration skills and Datacenter Management Working knowledge of virtualization stack backup restore and DR technologies Experience with management and support of users needs in a semiconductor company environment Inter-personal and communication skills Capable of writing proposals or papers acting as a supplier liaison making presentations to customers clients and professional peers Benefits About Syntiant Founded in 2017 and headquartered in Irvine Calif Syntiant Corp is a leader in delivering hardware and software solutions for edge AI deployment The company s purpose-built silicon and hardware-agnostic models are being deployed globally to power edge AI speech audio sensor and vision applications across a wide range of consumer and industrial use cases from earbuds to automobiles Syntiant s advanced chip solutions merge deep learning with semiconductor design to produce ultra-low-power high performance deep neural network processors Syntiant also provides compute-efficient software solutions with proprietary model architectures that enable world-leading inference speed and minimized memory footprint across a broad range of processors The company is backed by several of the world s leading strategic and financial investors including Intel Capital Microsoft s M12 Applied Ventures Bosch Ventures the Amazon Alexa Fund and Atlantic Bridge Capital More information on the company can be found by visiting One element in our total compensation package is base pay annual incentive program and eligibility to participate in our equity program Individual compensation decisions are based on several factors including but not limited to previous experience and skills acquired prior to joining Syntiant cost of living in the assigned work location assigned schedule and salaries of similarly situated peers at the company It is to be expected that candidates will come to us with different sets of skills and experiences and therefore will be paid at different points in the stated range We recognize that the person s we select for hire may be less experienced or more experienced than the role as posted if this is the case any updates to available salary ranges will be communicated with candidates during the recruitment process
