Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for an Accountant, based in Chennai. The Accountant will handle day-to-day financial transactions including bookkeeping, preparing financial statements, managing accounts payable and receivable, budgeting, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The role involves meticulous record-keeping, evaluating financial reports, and collaborating with other departments to support financial planning and analysis. Qualifications - Proficiency in Accounts Payable Management (vendor invoices, payments, PO, reimbursements & Settlements). - Perform reconciliation on a periodic basis. - Compliance & reporting: Ensure adherence to GST, TDS, and other statutory compliances, Prepare AP-related MIS reports. - Coordinate with auditors and internal teams for timely resolution of queries - Strong understanding of compliance with financial regulations - Attention to detail and excellent analytical skills - Knowledge of accounting principles and ERP systems (SAP, Tally, Oracle, Zoho, etc.) - Maintain proper records and documentation of all agreements/contracts - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Strong reconciliation and analytical skills. - Advanced proficiency in MS Excel - 3–5 years of relevant experience in accounts payable or general accounting - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field ( B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance) / CA Inter / CMA Inter). - Experience in the sports industry is a plus - Ability to work independently and as part of a team
