Position Overview:

As theSenior Manager Business Development and Sales, you will lead revenue growth and client acquisition forthe organisation. This is an independent, high-impact leadership role that requires a strong strategic mindset and hands-on execution skills across business development, sales, go-to-market planning, and client relationship management.

You will be responsible for driving revenue and owning the entire sales lifecyclefrom strategy to closurewhile collaborating closely with internal teams to ensure strong product-market alignment and client satisfaction. The ideal candidate is articulate, polished in communication, consultative in approach, and comfortable engaging senior stakeholders. You must be comfortable working independently, presenting confidently, and travelling locally and occasionally nationally for key meetings.

Key Responsibilities:

Revenue Leadership & Growth Ownership

Own and achieve revenue targets, drive topline growth, and deliver on business development goals across sectors.

Design and execute strategic sales plans to grow the client base and expand into new market segments.

Independent Sales Leadership

Operate autonomously as the team lead for all sales and business development activities.

Lead high-stakes client meetings, build executive-level relationships, and close consultative, often complex deals.

Consultative, Client-Centric Selling

Listen actively to client needs and challenges, and co-create tailored wellbeing solutions aligned to their culture and goals.

Pitch services persuasively, with a strong understanding of our offerings and a consultative problem-solving approach.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Liaise closely with theProduct Developmentteam to stay well-versed in current offerings, provide structured market feedback, and enhance product-market fit.

Work with theMarketing and Communicationsteam to align brand positioning, lead generation efforts, and marketing campaigns that drive sales.

Market Intelligence & Strategy

Lead go-to-market planning for new services or segments.

Conduct research on competitors, trends, and client needs to ensure positioning is always relevant and differentiated.

Sales Operations & Reporting

Maintain and track a healthy sales pipeline; ensure accurate forecasting and reporting to senior leadership.

Use data-driven insights to continuously improve sales strategy and performance.

Professional Representation & Thought Leadership

RepresentElephant in the Roomat industry events, conferences, and client forums as a credible and compelling ambassador of our brand.

Build and nurture networks to open new opportunities and build long-term relationships.

Who Are You:

A strategic and results-driven sales professional with7+ years of total experience, includingat least 5 years in B2B sales, ideally in consulting, HR/wellbeing, or professional services.

Exceptionally polished in spoken and written English; confident and presentable in both in-person and virtual settings.

Skilled in solution-selling, with an ability to deeply understand client needs and pitch customised offerings effectively.

Self-motivated and comfortable operating independently with strong ownership of outcomes.

Adept at working cross-functionally with internal teams to leverage expertise and align sales strategy.

Willing to travel within Mumbai and surrounding business districts, and occasionally to other major cities for client meetings and business opportunities.
