Location Bangalore India Thales is a global technology leader trusted by governments institutions and enterprises to tackle their most demanding challenges From quantum applications and artificial intelligence to cybersecurity and 6G innovation our solutions empower critical decisions rooted in human intelligence Operating at the forefront of aerospace and space cybersecurity and digital identity we re driven by a mission to build a future we can all trust Present in India since 1953 Thales is headquartered in Noida and has other operational offices and sites spread across Delhi Gurugram Bengaluru and Mumbai among others Over 2200 employees are working with Thales and its joint ventures in India Since the beginning Thales has been playing an essential role in India s growth story by sharing its technologies and expertise in Defence Aerospace and Cyber Digital sectors Thales has two engineering competence centres in India - one in Noida focused on Cyber Digital business while the one in Bengaluru focuses on hardware software and systems engineering capabilities for both the civil and defence sectors serving global needs The Group has also established an MRO Maintenance Repair Overhaul facility in Gurugram to provide comprehensive avionics maintenance and repair services to Indian airlines and support the growth of the local aviation industry Senior Engineer- HW Test Bench Within the Thales AVS FLX Aeronautical Equipment and Techniques competence center you will join the Testability and Test Means TMT Department team You will participate in the development of Test Systems used in development for the Product Departments on the one hand and on the other hand those implemented by the Industrial Competence Center for the production of Avionics equipment Qualifications B Tech Masters in Electronics Communication or Electrical engineering or equivalent with 4 to 8 years of relevant experience Working experience in Aerospace Avionics Defense products development is desirable Job Responsibilities Development of Test bench You will develop Test Systems for our customers product departments production or support teams Ensure the management of our test bench suppliers organization planning sequencing of activities technical progress ensuring test bench delivery Test Bench automation Your multidisciplinary skills in system and HW will allow you to develop testing resources such as automatic test benches and Problem Solving You are a force for innovation and suggestions for improvement in the face of the various problems encountered with operational staff with a team spirit for the Company Supplier management You know how to technically manage suppliers to ensure their progress and be critical of the quality of their work You should have ability to Study propose technical solutions at system level Cooperate in an international context Autonomous open-minded analytical skills and strength of proposal and innovation Integrate into a team and share knowledge Working in cross-functional environment Required Skills Competencies Should have strong knowledge of Hardware Test bench development Should have strong knowledge of Hardware system test bench design Should have strong knowledge of Auto CAD electrical design for wiring Harness Should have strong knowledge in test fixture sub rack design and develop a Test bench system Should have strong experience in creating technical documentation like HVVPr and IVVQPr for test bench Should be able to identify or perform the COTS Test equipment for test bench Should be familiar with mechanical structure required for hardware Test System Should have strong understanding of Test bench Development lifecycles including design development testing integration manufacturing Should have experience Test Bench Hardware maintenance Should have knowledge in RS232 422 RS-485 I2C SPI ARINC429 Ethernet CAN and video interfaces Should have hands on experience for test equipment such as oscilloscope DC AC programmable power supply Arbitrary Function waveform generator digital multi meter current meter and spectrum Analyzer Should have knowledge on configuration management tools such as SVN JIRA and Git Experience in CE certification will have added advantage At Thales we re committed to fostering a workplace where respect trust collaboration and passion drive everything we do Here you ll feel empowered to bring your best self thrive in a supportive culture and love the work you do Join us and be part of a team reimagining technology to create solutions that truly make a difference - for a safer greener and more inclusive world
