problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to quickly identify and resolve technical issues Monitor system performance troubleshoot issues and ensure high availability and reliability of Linux-based infrastructure Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement Linux-based solutions that meet business needs Implement and maintain security measures to protect Linux systems from unauthorized access and ensure compliance with industry regulations Perform regular system backups and disaster recovery procedures to minimize data loss and maintain business continuity experience as a zLinux Administrator Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems including Ubuntu CentOS or Red Hat Proficient in Linux command-line interface CLI and shell scripting Experience with zVM virtualization Environment and x360s zLinux Architecture Familiarity with networking concepts protocols and services including TCP IP DHCP DNS and VPN Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure is advantageous Ability to adapt to new technologies and stay updated with industry trends and advancements in Linux administrationInstall configure and maintain network services including DNS DHCP and LDAP Preferred Technical and Professional ExperienceStrong communication skills to effectively communicate technical concepts and solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders Strong understanding of server hardware and experience in server management Manage user accounts permissions and access controls to ensure proper system security and data integrity Collaborate with software
