Job Description Job Title: Assistant Psychologist Role: Homecare Therapist Location: Noida / Greater Noida / Gaur City / Gurgaon / South Delhi / West Delhi Role Overview The Homecare Therapist will work directly with children at home to support their developmental goals in academics, communication, behaviour, social skills, and play. The role requires implementing individualized intervention plans that build on the child's strengths, using structured methods based on the TEACCH framework and positive behaviour support. Therapists will work collaboratively with families, supervisors, and other professionals to ensure a consistent and holistic approach across settings. Key Responsibilities Conduct one-on-one home sessions focusing on communication, academics, behaviour, social skills, and play. Implement individualized home programs (IEP) guided by the clinical or program supervisor. Apply a strength-based approach identify and utilize the child's abilities, interests, and motivators. Incorporate TEACCH principles such as visual schedules, structured work systems, task organization, and environmental predictability. Foster communication skills through modeling, visual cues, and structured interaction. Support social interaction and play development through structured and guided play sessions. Maintain accurate session notes, progress logs, and data sheets for each child. Collaborate with the Insighte team and parents for review meetings and program adjustments. Participate in regular training, supervision, and IEP reviews. IEP (Individualized Education Plan) Responsibilities Each Homecare Therapist is responsible for developing, implementing, and updating IEPs for assigned children, with guidance from supervisors. 1. Present Level of Performance (PLOP) Assess and record the child's current skills and needs in the following domains: Academics / Cognitive skills Communication Behaviour and self-regulation Social skills Play and leisure Identify both strengths and challenges, using observations and parent input. 2. Strength-Based Summary Highlight what the child does well interests, motivators, and preferred learning styles to guide interventions positively. 3. Goal Setting Develop long-term goals (36 months) in all key domains. Break these into short-term, measurable objectives with clear strategies, tools, and evaluation methods. 4. Strategies & Implementation Use TEACCH-based structured teaching (visual supports, work systems, routines). Embed learning in natural, play-based contexts. Reinforce communication and social skills through everyday interactions. 5. Parent Collaboration Conduct weekly parent updates on progress and activities. Share carryover plans and home practice ideas. Offer monthly parent training sessions to ensure consistency at home. 6. Monitoring & Review Record daily session notes and track progress against goals. Conduct monthly IEP progress reviews with supervisors. Update the IEP every 3 months or as required. Qualifications & Skills Masters degree in Psychology, Special Education, Early Childhood Education, Behavioural Science, or related field. Experience working with children with developmental, learning, or behavioural needs (home, school, or therapy setting preferred). Knowledge of TEACCH, ABA, or structured intervention models. Strong communication, documentation, and observational skills. Empathetic, patient, adaptable, and professional in interactions with children and families.
