The breadth and depth of our capabilities are delivered to clients in key strategic sectors. We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Ecology Consultant to join our Bangalore office. Key Responsibilities: - Author technical ecological reports. - Analyse bat sound data. - Use GIS tools (QGIS/ArcGIS) for desk studies, site scoping, species records, and biodiversity net gain assessments. - Work to tight deadlines and follow approved methodologies. - Collaborate with team members and manage workload effectively. - Liaise daily with the UK team and build strong working relationships. - Support bid preparation and manage work enquiries. - Engage in continuous professional development. - Perform ad hoc tasks as required. Technical Competencies: Essential: - Degree in Ecology, Environmental Sciences, or Environmental Engineering. - 3-4 years of experience in ecology projects (UK region experience preferred). - Proficiency in Anabat Insight/Kaleidoscope. - Strong GIS skills (QGIS/ArcGIS). - Familiarity with UKHab classification and Defra Metric. - Ability to interpret and analyse data for reporting. - Understanding of UK/EU Wildlife Legislation, planning policies, and licensing. Desirable: - Experience on international projects. - Project management (technical, financial, QA). - CIEEM membership. Behavioural Competencies: - Highly motivated, proactive, and technically focused. - Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills. - Quick learner, adaptable, and organized. - Able to manage multiple tasks and work independently or in teams. - Aware of time and budget impacts on project delivery. - Open to feedback, knowledge sharing, and career development. - Demonstrates initiative and basic leadership. - Compliant with Health & Safety policies.
