Job Description We are a Gurgaon Based leading Recruitment Partner for various reputed MNCs and Corporates engaged in various Sectors on a PAN India basis for over a decade. Presently we are looking for the eligible candidate for a Proposal Engineer as per the below given details. Please apply in confidence Responsibilities - RFQ Management & Coordination - Receive transformer requirements from the Sales team and ensure all RFQs are properly masked before internal circulation. - Coordinate with the Design team to obtain design proposals and Bills of Materials (BOMs). - Track RFQs, response timelines, and pending actions across teams. - - Costing & Quotation Preparation - Review BOMs and derive accurate costing using updated component and material price databases. - Maintain and update price sheets for key materials and components (core, windings, bushings, tap changers, etc.). - Evaluate different grades and makes of transformer components for cost competitiveness. - Prepare detailed cost sheets and professional quotation summaries in standard formats. - - Technical & Commercial Documentation - Integrate designer's Technical Data Sheets (TDS) into proposal packages. - Define payment terms, delivery schedules, and commercial conditions in coordination with the Procurement Head. - Ensure compliance with internal quality and documentation standards. - - Reporting & Review - Prepare weekly reports on: - RFQs received/submitted - Quotation lead times - Design dependencies and key deviations - - Provide insights to management for improving quotation accuracy and efficiency. - Qualifications - B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. - 37 years of experience in the transformer industry (power/distribution/pad-mount). - Experience in costing, proposal preparation, or techno-commercial roles preferred. Required Skills - Strong understanding of transformer design, BOM components, and costing structures. - Familiarity with major component manufacturers (ABB, MR, Cargill, Voltamp, CTR, etc.). - Proficient in MS Excel and quotation templates. - Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications. Preferred Skills - Excellent coordination and communication skills. - High attention to detail and accuracy under tight timelines. - Strong analytical and structured approach to costing. - Ownership mindset with the ability to work independently and prioritize effectively.
