Role Overview The Mechanical Maintenance team will be responsible for ensuring the efficient maintenance repair and reliability of CNC machines and related mechanical assets The role focuses on preventive predictive and breakdown maintenance ensuring maximum machine uptime safety compliance and readiness for production schedules in a precision engineering and aerospace manufacturing environment Key Responsibilities Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of CNC machinery including CNC VMC EDM Machines Lathe Milling Machines and EOT Cranes Furnaces Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical failures to minimize downtime and ensure smooth operations Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules and maintenance documentation Inspect calibrate and maintain machine accuracy as per OEM and process standards Coordinate with production and planning teams to ensure readiness of machines as per production priorities Maintain spare parts inventory tools and maintenance consumables Ensure compliance with maintenance audit requirements Internal External OHSAS EMS ISO Safety etc and support closure of non-conformities Record and maintain machine service logs breakdown reports and root cause analysis RCA documentation Assist in installation commissioning and validation of new machines and equipment Implement continual improvement and energy-saving initiatives to enhance equipment performance Required Skills Technical Competencies Hands-on experience with mechanical systems hydraulics pneumatics lubrication CNC servo systems and welding basics Strong understanding of machine alignments spindle unit maintenance ball screw assemblies bearings lubrication systems and safety systems Familiarity with TPM RCA 5 Why analysis FMEA Kaizen and Safety Standards Knowledge of safety procedures and EOT crane handling maintenance Ability to read technical drawings OEM manuals and machine schematics
