Our Purpose Mastercard powers economies and empowers people in 200 countries and territories worldwide Together with our customers we re helping build a sustainable economy where everyone can prosper We support a wide range of digital payments choices making transactions secure simple smart and accessible Our technology and innovation partnerships and networks combine to deliver a unique set of products and services that help people businesses and governments realize their greatest potential Title and Summary Manager Finance Business Partner BillPay Engineering Overview Mastercard is a global technology company in the payments industry Our mission is to connect and power an inclusive digital economy that benefits everyone everywhere by making transactions safe simple smart and accessible Using secure data and networks partnerships and passion our innovations and solutions help individuals financial institutions governments and businesses realize their greatest potential Our decency quotient or DQ drives our culture and everything we do inside and outside of our company With connections across more than 210 countries and territories we are building a sustainable world that unlocks priceless possibilities for all The Financial Planning Analysis function manages all aspects of management reporting encompassing budgeting and forecasting strategic and customer planning This includes the management and execution of the corporate reporting and planning requirements Role Responsible for a broad range of finance related responsibilities and acts as a finance generalist Business Partnering for Bill Pay Engg business Partner with the Engg business to support objective delivery by providing relevant financial analytics regular reporting and business insights to key stakeholders while developing robust tracking mechanisms Apply strategic understanding of business dynamics and competitive forces in different markets to provide insights and that aid the business to make financially sound decisions Escalate analysis and findings where applicable to Finance and Business leadership where course correction is required to deliver against financial plans and objectives Assists with strategy and process improvements to ensure alignment with Engg objectives proactively identifies ways to improve processes and executes agreed upon improvement FP A Drives the financial planning and reporting related needs and requirements e g ownership of the develop of Budget Forecasts O Rs and strategic plans Owns the monthly close process delivering analysis of variances against budget forecasts prior year actuals key business drivers and initiatives Review and provide thoughtful business driven commentary to management teams Design and execute on financial process improvements by building and maintaining financial tools to perform analysis and modelling Support in building of business cases and tracking spend for key initiatives Monthly business reviews for Bill Pay on regional level including commentaries per country and preparation of month performance deck Support in regulatory asks for MPS Dora Defense file audit requests R D etc Manage TCO and other technology spend ensure close cooperation with Tech Finance Support in any MPS specific request related to Engineering capacity - efficiency realization long term plans validate business cases portfolio spend follow-up Investigate and create opportunities for automation and more efficient methods of insightful analysis creation and delivery anticipating needs of internal customers and other stakeholders All about you Relevant qualification in business accounting and or Finance preferred Experience operating in a diverse multi-functional accounting and or finance group Ability to work independently but also be a team player proactive and able to deliver within agreed deadlines Experience building internal and external business partnerships develops and leverages key relationships in order to understand the needs and objectives of stakeholders Self driven and good communication skills Exposure to supporting a designated business area on risk and opportunity considerations leveraging analytical techniques as well as outside trends and events Experienced with financial systems and applications serves as a resource to those less experienced e g Hyperion Oracle Experience identifying and implementing process improvement activities makes recommendations to further improve procedures Successfully resolves complex issues in a timely and efficient manner Corporate Security Responsibility All activities involving access to Mastercard assets information and networks comes with an inherent risk to the organization and therefore it is expected that every person working for or on behalf of Mastercard is responsible for information security and must Abide by Mastercard s security policies and practices Ensure the confidentiality and integrity of the information being accessed Report any suspected information security violation or breach and Complete all periodic mandatory security trainings in accordance with Mastercard s guidelines
